So this is my first ever try at a blog!
Don't really know if its worth doing one but as my life is on hold then I thought i might as well give it a go.
I've got a illness called ME (Myalgic Encephalomyelitis) also known as CFS (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome) or as it was originally known as Yuppie Flu. I've had this illness for 13 years, however in the last 6 months I have had a severe relapse.
I began my life after school as any other teenager would partying and leading a care free life until one day I was struck down with this awful illness. The rest of my teens consisted of hospital appointments and quiet nights in whilst my friends went out and got on with their lives. Who could blame them! I couldn't really but you sure do find out who your real friends are and those at that time weren't. Thank god for those important people in my life now.
Fast forward a few years from those initial dark days. I got on with life the best way I could adapting the things I did to fit in with the ME. You do have to adapt and get used to it as it will always be with you! OK some days were better than others and on the good days I would think oh I'm OK today maybe its gone even though I knew it hadn't I'd just had a good day.
But once again out of nowhere someone pressed the pause button and once again My Life is on Hold!
